Yep, that’s me! My bride of 45 years took that picture on a family trip to Brian Head, Utah not so long ago. I’m officially retired from working full time with over 40 years of working with the US military in one capacity or another. After two years of full-time RVing, Ilene and I came off the road and settled in the Texas Hill Country town of Fredericksburg. Now that we’re settled I can concentrate on my art and a few other hobbies.
I guess you’d say I’m a bit of a Renaissance man.
As to my art background, I can sum it up in two words… self-taught. I have no formal art training but like many, I’ve always doodled, scribbled, and dabbled. I was recently honored to receive an award (Most Promising Watercolor) in the Fredericksburg Art Guild’s Adult Student Artist Art Show. Although self-taught I have had several people influence my art and you’ll find a list of them and links to their sites/information on my Art Sources page.
